writer, producer, performer, podcaster, trainer and educator
TEACHING
I currently develop curriculum for and lead classroom residencies and workshops as a teaching artist with the state-wide organization COMPAS. This has given me the opportunity to work in-depth with groups across the state including elementary age children of active duty military parents, middle school students from immigrant and refugee communities, intergenerational families coping with Alzheimers and elders from the Karen community.
AUDIO PRODUCTION
I produce audio content of my own design and for cultural organizations like the Walker Art Center, American Public Media and the Loft Literary Center. My own podcasts have been featured in news outlets like CBC, MPR, City Pages, Star Tribune and Minnesota Monthly. My current podcast is a show called ‘Not About You’ that focuses on identity, social justice and cross-cultural understanding and is being used by the South St. Paul Public Schools in their professional development program. All of my creative work is done with the goal of combining social justice and humor.
COMMUNICATIONS
I currently work as the Program Manager for the Minnesota Council on Foundations. One of my priorities at MCF has been launching and serving as editor in chief of a premier, full-page, glossy magazine covering issues of local and national philanthropy. At MCF, I also lead trainings on diversity, equity and inclusion and philanthropy and produce the philanthropy podcast, Fast Forward. I have also written freelance arts journalism and other content for local and national publications.
THEATER
I co-founded the all-ages theater company Comedy Suitcase which has created over a dozen original shows including several best selling shows at the Minnesota Fringe Festival. As a result of my writing, theater and podcast projects, I was named Artist of the Year in 2012 by City Pages. I was the first ever Artist-in-Residence for the Walker Art Center’s Education and Family programs department.
TRAINING & CERTIFICATIONS
• University of Minnesota, B.A. Anthropology
• HOPE Community’s Sustainable Progress Through Engaging Active Citizens (SPEAC) organizer training program
• Qualified administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI)

I’ve put a lot of energy into figuring out what matters to me, what I’m good at and where I’d like to spend my time. I’m looking for opportunities to use my experience as a program manager, podcast producer, an interviewer, an educator, a researcher, an engagement specialist, a communicator, an anthropologist, a writer, an improviser, a community builder, a project manager, a life-long learner and someone deeply committed to kindness, comedy, justice, and empathy.
