Frida Kahlo and Georgia O’Keeffe created almost stubbornly personal work in the 20th century, yet their art still speaks to a huge audience, perhaps because it can be read on so many different levels. That two exhibitions on the women are running concurrently in Minneapolis is pure coincidence, but art lovers of all stripes will find it a happy accident.
