David Oppegaard is the author of The Firebug of Balrog County (FLUX 2015), The Suicide Collectors, Wormwood, Nevada, And the Hills Opened Up, and The Ragged Mountains.
David holds a B.A. in English Literature from St. Olaf College and an M.F.A. in Writing from Hamline University. David has worked as an optician, an editorial assistant, a trash picker, a library circulation assistant, a creative writing teacher in the Boise foothills, and as a child minder on a British cruise ship. He currently works at the University of Minnesota and lives in St. Paul.
