A couple of months ago, while cleaning my basement, I found a box of disposable cameras and gave one to my niece. I told her she had to be intentional with her photos, since it’s not a digital camera. With that in mind, working remotely along with social media made me wonder, “What is it like in someone else’s day? What if they had to be intentional with what they shared each day?”

The artists chosen to share these photos via film have been working in their craft for decades, and were asked to consider intentionality when capturing images. It also established a pause in their creative work, and invited them to think about where they are as artists today. How have their careers altered or expanded as they have progressed? Each story explores perseverance and the mindset it takes to live an artistic life.
