May Lee-Yang is a writer, performance artist, and teaching artist. Her theater-based works include The Korean Drama Addict’s Guide to Losing Your Virginity, Confessions of a Lazy Hmong Woman, Hmong-Lao Friendship Play, Ten Reasons Why I’d Be a Bad Porn Star, and Sia(b).   
Her work has been presented/workshopped/commissioned Theater Mu, Intermedia Arts, Steppingstone Theater, Illusion Theater, The Center for Hmong Arts and Talent (CHAT), Out North Theater, the National Asian American Theater Festival.                   
She is a 2018-2019 Playwright Center McKnight Fellow and has received support for her work through the Jerome Foundation, the Knight Foundation, the MN State Arts Board, the MRAC Next Steps Grant, the National Performance Network, and the Bush Fellowship.
