Roots and Roofs: A Visual Exploration of Home

The Cora McCorvey Health and Wellness Center announces their fall and winter fine art exhibit, “Roots and Roofs: A Visual Exploration of Home” with an open call to local artists to exhibit 2D work that relates to the theme of home in any creative way. 

Local artists who are 50 years of age and older are encouraged to apply. Twenty five artists will be selected and each will be paid a $50 stipend to exhibit their work. Selected artists will retain 100% of all sales of any artworks. Artwork will be installed early Mid November and exhibited through the end of April, 2025. 

Please complete the application by Friday, October 11, 2024. 

All selected artists will be notified by Friday, November 8, 2024 with further instruction to complete an exhibition contract and bring their work during open artwork drop off hours tentatively scheduled for mid November. 

The opening reception for this exhibit is scheduled for Saturday, December 14th from 1-4pm. This event is free and open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.
