RFP: Art for Purchase – Walker|West Music Academy
State of Minnesota
The State of Minnesota, through its Percent for Art in Public Places program, is requesting proposals from artists, galleries, museums, or others who have existing artwork available to sell. The artwork available for purchase must be relevant to Walker|West Music Academy and must support the music academy in connecting with its community, diversity, history, the African American/African diaspora, and the Rondo neighborhood. It must also provoke thoughtful and encouraging dialogue on the diversity of peoples and practices in music.
With an all-inclusive budget of up to, but not more than, $22,500, the State intends to purchase one or more existing artworks to be permanently installed by April 4, 2025, at the Walker|West Music Academy in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
This RFP is not limited to, but priority will be given to work by artists who live or lived in the Rondo neighborhood, the cities of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, and/or the state of Minnesota. A detailed description of the project and instructions for submitting a proposal are contained in the Request for Proposals.
Proposals must be submitted no later than 4:00 P.M. (CST), January 31, 2025.
