Wendy Thompson Taiwo is a writer and Assistant Professor of Ethnic Studies at Metropolitan State University where she specializes in black cultural studies, race and wealth, mixed racial identity, and migration and diaspora communities.  Her writing and photography have appeared in carte blanche, Nokoko, Meridians: feminism, race, transnationalism, and several anthologies including War Baby/Love Child: Mixed Race Asian American Art.  She lives in Saint Paul with her family.
