Threads Dance Project seeks a 0.5 FTE Development Coordinator

The Development Coordinator will implement the development strategy for Karen L. Charles Threads Dance Project, focusing on grant writing, reporting, and managing individual donors. This role reports directly to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities:
- Develop fundraising goals, including donations, grants, sponsorships, and in-kind services.
- Research, write, secure, and manage grants
- Manage fundraising events, donor database, and develop marketing materials in collaboration with Threads’ Managing Director.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent in dance, arts management, or non-profit management.
- Understanding of concert dance and non-profit funding is a plus.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of nonprofit development experience, including grant writing, donor relations, and event management.
- High energy, positive attitude, flexibility, and strong teamwork skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and understand strategic development.
- Experience working with senior executives and boards in a nonprofit setting.
- Proven ability to prospect, cultivate, and manage donor accounts.
- Strong skills in partnership-building and event planning.
- Proficiency in using email, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
- Knowledge of NEONCRM or similar donor management systems.
- Strong time management skills. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects at once.
Compensation: Part-time, 20 hours a week at $20-25/hour.
