Northern Lakes Arts Association 2025 Art Show Season

The Northern Lakes Arts Association (NLAA) invites artists to apply for the 2025 Art Show Season in Ely, MN. This exclusive opportunity offers four talented artists a two-month exhibit in the heart of Ely’s vibrant arts community. Each selected artist will receive a $500 stipend, a three-day artist residency, and a chance to engage directly with the community.

Eligibility:

This opportunity is open to visual artists of all mediums who can display wall-mounted art. We encourage applications from BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ artists, as well as local and regional creators, to ensure a diverse and inclusive platform that reflects the richness of our artistic community.

Visit Northern Lakes Arts Association’s website to fill out the online application form. An application fee of $25 is required.

Applications open on September 23, 2024, and close on October 30, 2024.

Artist Compensation:

Each selected artist will receive a $500 stipend for their residency, along with a two-month exhibit and a three-day artist residency, which includes community engagement opportunities such as workshops and participation in the Portageland Podcast.

Responsibilities of Selected Artists:

• Showcase your art for a two-month period in 2025.
• Participate in the Portageland Podcast to share your artistic journey.
• Host a 90-minute workshop during the residency to teach your technique and engage with the community.
