The Jerome Foundation’s Film, Video and Digital Production 2021 grants program application is now open. Interested filmmakers can visit the Foundation’s website to download the guidelines (with program-specific information on eligibility, timeline, selection criteria, and more).
The Foundation’s Film, Video and Digital Production grant programs are open to early career film, video and digital production directors who work in the experimental, narrative, animation or documentary genres, or a combination of these forms. These grant programs provide individual filmmakers support for specific projects, both short and full-length, for pre-production, production and post.
- The Minnesota Film, Video and Digital Production Grant provides up to $30,000 to support specific projects for all stages of production, including pre-production, production and post-production costs.
- The Minnesota Film, Video and Artist Development Grant provides up to $7,000 to support self-designed mentorship with experienced directors and further their filmmaking craft and/or professional skills while working on a specific film, video or digital production project.
Production Grants have been expanded to cover all stages of production, including pre-production costs. All programs do not fund retroactively: only costs incurred after the grant is awarded and a grant contract is signed will be supported. The awards do not require matching funds.
Applications are due April 21 by 4 pm Central Time.
