Call for Proposals: 2025 – 2026 McGuire Visiting Artist Program
The Blake School
The Blake School in the Twin Cities, MN, welcomes proposals for its 2025-2026 McGuire Visiting Artist residency. Established in 1993 by Dr. Bill and Nadine McGuire, the biennial program seeks a teaching artist to collaborate with visual art faculty and students in grades Pre-K through 12.
Our most successful McGuire visiting artists enrich Blake’s visual arts curriculum with their cultural diversity, hands-on learning experiences, and community-driven art projects. The program’s structure is flexible and a residency will be scheduled between October 2025 and April 2026. Minimum residency length is two weeks. The typical budget range is $4,000 to $6,500. Travel and lodging expenses are typically covered for resident artists from outside the Twin Cities Metro Area. Proposals should be submitted electronically to PK-12 Director of Visual and Performing Arts Dr. Ilah Raleigh at iraleigh@blakeschool.org by Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
