Call for Art for Two Harbors Public Library
Two Harbors Public Library
The Two Harbors Public Library is accepting applications for our 2025 display season. The library welcomes over 30,000 visitors every year and serves as a welcoming hub that connects people with information and ideas.
All visual art forms that can be hung on a wall will be considered. The display wall for art exhibition purposes is located on the main floor of the library, between the entryway and the service desk, above the express computer terminal stations. This wall is painted off-white as a neutral backdrop, and is set-up with a steel Walker Display system. The dimensions of the Walker Display system are eight (8) feet wide by six (6) feet tall. Due to emergency lighting, the security panel, and the light switches being on the edges of the wall, as well as the computer desks being against the bottom of the wall, the display space is limited to the use of that eight (8) feet wide by six (6) feet tall space encompassed by the Walker Display System. All artwork on display must be hung using the Walker display system; the wall behind the display system is not to be tampered with or damaged in any way. Exhibitors assume responsibility for any damage to Library property resulting from their use of Library facilities, and charges will be assessed by the Library.
There is no application fee nor cost to display. We will also promote your works throughout the community, connecting local art lovers with local and regional artists. The Library will not handle sales, but will connect patrons to the artists to handle sales directly, if the artist wishes.
Learn more on our website and send a completed application, along with photos of intended art, to madeline.jarvis@alslib.info. Paper applications will be accepted at the library or through mail:
